I'm so glad there was no extra food at work today. I'm greatful that:
- I stuck to my diet today (today is a new day).
- I have two health insurance plans to chose from. Three years ago I didn't have any!
- I have coats and clothes to keep warm with.
Big snowflakes are falling so slowly outside. I love that type of snow. (Plus, no accumulation.)
Have a great afternoon/evening.

Tonight I am grateful for good conversation and wine with a good friend. (Even if we enjoyed it over the phone) :-)
For smiles and laughter...
For quiet evenings.

Today I am so full of gratitude for all sorts of things.
I am grateful that my dad's celebration went off without a hitch except that one of my sisters went to the restaurant next door due to brain fog and was misinformed by the staff there and missed the whole thing! Luckily there were no hard feelings anywhere and we are having a good time filling her in all all the news.
I am grateful for all the friends and relatives who showed up. Even my mother's relatives (my parents divorced in 1960) came. My dad did not believe in dropping anyone out of his telephone directory ever! So many of my cousins came and we got to talk and make plans to get together again in the spring. My dad was their last surviving uncle, so it was important to them to be there. There were a lot of great tales told during sharing time by step-siblings, in-laws and young men my dad had brought up in business over the years.
I am ever so grateful to Anthony's Home Port at Shilshole in Seattle, Kinko's in Ballard and my daughter for her desk-top publishing expertise. We couldn't have done it wiithout them. The Golden Rule and the power of intention were working overtime for us this week! (I am not being paid for this praise!)
Now I am particularly grateful that I have learned to be calm and focused and know what my limits are.
Now I am going to bed and sleep until I wake up. Good night! ;-)

"The Angel of Purification: I bathe myself in the light of my Soul every day. When we open our hearts and minds to our "Inner Sun", we are fully purified by the radiance of its loving light. All that keeps the memory of negativity is cleansed, and in that way we purify both mind and body. Visualize now the light of your Soul filling your entire being and purifying every cell and atom as it radiates to everything around you."
"We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world. Speak or act with a pure mind and happiness will follow you as your shadow, unshakeable." The Dhammapada
Today I feel gratitude in my heart for:
**reminder that when I reach out from my heart - others respond in kind
**this cyberspace experience enabling a connection to others I would otherwise not have been able to make
**learning the value of effective and clear communication skills
May the light of love shine bright in our lives.
Take care,
Deb
