I watched Sec. Tres. Paulson on TV the other day and will ask this: Is anyone else as confused about the intent of the bailout as I am?

Yes. Secretary Paulson! And all those who supported it. I'm astonished at 1-the number of people who 2-acted with such haste 3-for such a massive and long term policy 4-that violates so many basic principles. Our Congress has willingly delegated much of its decision making to the Administrative Branch over the past decades. I hate to say it, but the Founding Fathers were wrong about human nature...or perhaps just couldn't fathom the metamorphosis.

I seen another reason this is doomed from the start. Yesterday the WH said no to the additional billions above the 25 billion for re-tooling already authorized that the Big 3 are asking for.
Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Reid screamed they need it, want it and wouldn't accept the no answer and were hoping Prez. Elect Obama will take care of it.
THEN they held a press conference telling the Big 3 CEO's to go home and come up with a plan that would show cause for and proper utilization of the billions they are asking for.
So if I understood this correctly, Congress was ready to give the money with no plan initially but NOW they want a plan?
Is this what Congress has decided is what needs done? Sec Paulson had no plan obviously and they supported him, they supported the Big 3 CEO's without them having a plan...I HAVE NO FREAKIN' PLAN EITHER AND WANT SOME MONEY....HELLO...CONGRESS ARE YOU LISTENING?
Glad I wasn't alone! LOL
