Cry Uncle !

The "First Blind Date" Discussion turned into a thread that had the beginnings of a story in it. Some posters there thought it would make a good story with more work. I agree.

Please read that Discussion for background.

TWG features a thing called "Tag, You're IT!" where contributors move a story along one post at a time. It's great fun, but I think this effort needs more structure than that.

I am *not* the Story Czar here. I'm just thinking out loud.

First things first - before story conferences, task assignments, etc. :

1. What software do we use and how? Microsoft Word, Movie Magic Screenwriter, whatever?

2. How and where do we collaborate ?

OK, thoughts, one and all ? I will sum up before I go to bed each night, but I am not the Story Czar. I'm just a tiger.

I knew that I'd joined TWG for a reason and this may be it. I think that this would be fun once the infrastructure is mapped out. I'm imagining all of the imaginations of everyone and think that the collaboration could be hilarious.

Of course Uncle Spencer will need to be especially invited as our star.

Just how much structure this group of wildness will endure is, well, undetermined. Overall we tend to be over the top so a Story Czar is absolutely needed. We shall vote, as this IS AMERICA. (yes thank you, I'll have another dirty martini) Damn waiters. What was I saying? Yes, I'll be watching with anticipation Dallas.

You STTICH, (pronounced Stitch), <Sexy Tiger That I Can't Have>, may have to step forward and be our Czar. I promise to send you an elaborate crown with just a whiff of Chanel #5 wafting in such a way as to entice and excite you in such a sensual way that the scent of a corseted wench might pull you over to my side. However, if your heart belongs to spuff, I will sadly slink off with my dignity intact and will reluctantly wish you the very fucking best of luck. lol

fucking pirates! The'll get ya every time.

Although I am not a published writer, I hope to be one day and will help out in any way that I am capable.

Ahhhh. Look how cute we coulda been Dallas.

*** 18 Feb 08 WRAP-UP **********************************

PrunellaFarquar and Mockingbird expressed an interest in writing.

No one indicated software preferences.

No one suggested a comm. solution, but there are some, I'm sure.

The Not-the-Story-Czar deftly sidestepped a career-ending scandal involving corsets and perfume.

Thanks, everyone...more tomorrow...Good Night!

I'll start.

Once upon a time it was a dark and stormy night......

A man whose life had ended four thousand times in the course of the past month, grieved in each breath and exhaled forsaken plans and broken promises. The solid wooden porch, like the world around him, was far too large for a single-celled existence, but was the only thing that he could count on to support the weight of his loneliness.

I'm gonna need off sometime in March for a doctor's appointment.

Can I leave early today I gotta get my oil changed. Have we discussed lunch hours yet. I like to eat right at noon. And can my cube have a window? Who's going to decide if we get a snow day. Can I take a snow day tomorrow? Do we get our birthday's off?

I'm going to need snow days too. This Texas snow gets really thick sometimes (like the B.S.).

Has anybody started an office pool on the Oscars yet? I'm putting my money on Diary of the Dead for best picture.
